Inertial Labs Launches INS-NV AI Fusion Inertial Navigation Development Platform

Date:2026.10.27

Inertial Labs, a VIAVI Solutions company, has officially launched the programmable INS-NV inertial navigation development platform. Integrating tactical-grade MEMS inertial sensors, a full-constellation GNSS receiver and the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX edge AI module, the platform is designed for the development of assured positioning, navigation and timing (Alt-PNT / APNT) systems in anti-jamming and GNSS-denied environments.
Combining an inertial navigation system (INS), attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) and high-performance edge computing in a single unit, the INS-NV can natively host machine vision and multi-sensor fusion navigation algorithms. It eliminates the cumbersome hardware and software integration work between inertial hardware and vision algorithms required by traditional solutions. The platform comes with fully calibrated MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes, a barometric altimeter and a magnetometer. Its receiver supports six satellite constellations: BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and NavIC.
Leveraging Inertial Labs’ proven ecosystem of sensor fusion filters, calibration toolkits and navigation algorithms, the INS-NV continuously delivers high-precision time, position, velocity and attitude data under harsh conditions including satellite signal occlusion, interference and outages. Featuring a modular expandable design and standardized external interfaces, it enables system integrators to rapidly carry out secondary development and greatly shorten the R&D cycle of navigation systems for unmanned platforms and special carrier vehicles. It is suitable for demanding scenarios requiring uninterrupted navigation, such as defense, autonomous unmanned systems and mobile surveying and mapping.
